Eight choirs from different Dioceses of Church of Uganda are participating in a Provincial Music, Dance, and Drama (MDD) competition organized by the Mothers’ Union at St. Janani Luwum Schools in Bombo, Luwero Diocese.
The participating Dioceses include Namirembe, Northern Uganda, Lango, Mukono, Central Busoga, Bukedi, South Rwenzori, and West Ankole.
The competition aims to spread the gospel through music, dance, and drama, showcase talent, and bring together different regions.
Notable attendees include Bishop Johnson and Maama Joy Twinomujuni of West Ankole, Bishop Nason Baluku of South Rwenzori, Maama Jean Magezi from North West Ankole, Mrs Grace Murengyezi the Provincial Mothers’ Union President, Mr. Samuel Bakutana the Provincial Fathers’ Union President and the Rev Simon Peter Ddembe Lya Yesu the Director of Missions, among others.
Each of the four regions is represented by two choirs.
The awarding ceremony is scheduled to take place at the same venue from 4 to 5pm.
