Today, Most men from Fathers’ Union from the 39 Dioceses have gathered at Namugongo Martyrs Anglican Site to support and talk to the boy child and fathers. Rev. Simon Peter Ddembe Lya Yesu, Provincial Missions Director says “A lot has been done for the girl child. Everyone who helps focuses on the girl child, neglecting the boy child. This has created a big gap which we shall address today.

This men’s conference began in 2018, and every year we have seen the number of attendees increase. We hope this continues each and every year. This year’s theme for our conference is “Transformation through Christian Values.

Mr Samuel A Bakutana Provincial ( Fathers Union) President.

“I’ve traveled and spoken to many men across Uganda, and what I’ve discovered is that many of them are suffering from various challenges. Many of them struggle with being ineffective in their homes and experiencing unfruitfulness, which reflects a life without spiritual growth. They are spiritually castrated.”

Men are dying younger because they spend most of their time working hard to take care of their families and forget about themselves.

I always serve my wife and take care of my children, but when will we ever take care of ourselves?
