Subject: Church of Uganda Environment Week.
Church of Uganda Environment week beginning today offers us a chance to come together and care for the world that God has entrusted to us.
A number of activities will run this week which we invite you to participate in. They are as follows;
1. There will be Environment stewardship sermons during the Online Church of Uganda lunch hour fellowship from today up to Friday and Friday overnight prayers.
A number of Bishops, Clergy and other Church leaders will be preaching about Climate conservation and environment stewardship from a biblical perspective.
2. The Archbishop will address the Province on Wednesday at 9am through the Media in Namirembe to give more guidance on environment conservation and climate change mitigation measures.
3. There will be a Webinar on 22nd March 2024 hosted by the Archbishop of the Church of Uganda which will bring together all Church leaders at all levels across the Province from 9am to 10:30am
The Theme for the Webinar will be, “The role of the church in advancing climate action.”
4. There will be a Carbon Harvest awareness conference to be hosted online on 20th March 2024 from 10:00am -11:00am hosted by the Provincial Secretary. Invited are Diocesan Secretaries, Household and Community Transformation Coordinators and Estate Managers.
