Pastoral visit by Archbishop church of Uganda in Kiruhura

KIRUHURA: The Archbishop of the Church of Uganda, The Most Rev Dr. Stephen Samuel Kaziimba Mugalu today morning arrived in the Diocese of North Ankole for his three days official pastoral visit.

On arrival, he was accorded a welcome salute by the Brassband and welcomed by the Diocesan Bishop, Rt Rev. Stephen Namanya and Mama Lydia Namanya, Clergy and jubilant Christians at Kaguta road in Lyantonde District.

He was hosted by the family of Mr. Dennis and Mrs. Phoebe Abaasa in Nyakahita in the morning before leaving for the Diocesan Ranch in Kakyera after which he led service at Rurambira Church of Uganda in Kyakabunga Archdeaconry.

Later he visited North Ankole Platinum SACCO, the Clergy pension house and finally Bishops’ Girls Secondary School.

During his visit, the Archbishop is expected to visit a number of Diocesan projects and lead Service in various Churches and conclude with a Service at Emmanuel Cathedral, Rushere.
