KITGUM – Thursday 7th September 2023: The Archbishop of the Church of Uganda, The Most Rev Dr Stephen Samuel Kaziimba Mugalu has today afternoon arrived in the Diocese of Kitgum for his five days official pastoral visit.


He was welcomed at Achwa Bridge by the Diocesan Bishop, Rt Rev Wilson Kitara and Mama Ketty Auma Kitara, Clergy and jubilant Christians.
Later in the day, the Archbishop will visit the Diocesan headquarters and commission a multi-purpose hall (Anglican community prayer centre) at Y.Y Okot Memorial Girl’s Secondary School adjacent to the Diocesan Secretariat Headquarters.


During his official pastoral visit, Archbishop Kaziimba is expected to visit Agago District tomorrow (Friday), Lamwo District on Saturday, Pader District on Sunday and Kitgum District on Monday.
“I want to thank our Archbishop for the good work he is doing for our Church. Indeed, we are proud of him. Above all, we are very much excited about his pastoral visit to the Diocese of Kitgum. May God continue to strengthen, protect and shower him with his gifts for the ministry.” Bishop Wilson Kitara said.
