MBALE – The Most Rev Dr Stephen Samuel Kaziimba Mugalu, Archbishop of the Church of Uganda, has arrived in Mbale Diocese for a four-day Pastoral Visit.
He was warmly welcomed on his arrival at Kamonkoli by Rt Rev John Wilson Nandaah, the Bishop of Mbale Diocese, Mama Harriet Nandaah, Clergy, officials from Uganda Christian University, and jubilant Christians.
Tomorrow, Friday, the Archbishop will visit UCU Mbale College, where he will meet students, leadership, and staff. Later, he will celebrate Chapel Service with the university congregation at St. Andrew’s Cathedral, Mbale.




He will also visit Marare Parish to lay the foundation stone for the vicarage and later Bugobero to lay the foundation stone for St. Paul Church of Uganda, Bugobero Parish.
On Saturday, the Archbishop will visit St. Mark Bubulo Archdeaconry Headquarters, where he will lay the foundation stone for the Archdeaconry House and lead Service. He will also meet with Compassion Kids, staff, and clergy.
He will then pay a courtesy call on Bishop Emeritus Samwiri Wabulakha before visiting Nabumali Archdeaconry, where he will lay a foundation stone and lead Service and later visit Nabumali High School to bless the School Chapel and other School Projects.




On Sunday, he will lay a foundation stone for the new Deanery offices, dedicate the Cathedral Deanery Hall, and lead a Holy Communion Service at St. Andrew’s Cathedral, Mbale. Later, he will proceed to St. Paul Church of Uganda, Burukuru Parish, where he will lay a foundation stone and launch the BCDI project.
The Archbishop will conclude his Pastoral Visit in the Diocese on Monday with the groundbreaking of the multipurpose Diocesan House and the Revival House before meeting with heads of Church of Uganda founded Schools.
