The Archbishop of Church of Uganda The Most Rev Dr Stephen Samuel Kaziimba Mugalu has arrived in North Kigezi Diocese (Rukungiri) for his two days pastoral visit.
He was received by the caretaker Bishop of North Kigezi Diocese Rt Rev Patrick Tugume, clergy and laity at Kahengye Bridge.
The Archbishop will visit Kakinga and Kyamakanda Archdeaconries today and address Christians there.
Tomorrow (Friday), he will travel to Nyakisoroza, meet Kisizi Hospital Staff before proceeding to Rubirizi, Bwanga and Nyabitete Archdeaconries.
The Archbishop will lead Service at Emmanuel Cathedral Kinyasano on Saturday at 9am.
Following the death of Rt Rev Benon Magezi the then Bishop of North Kigezi Diocese on 15th June 2021, the Archbishop took over the leadership of the Diocese as per the Canons of Church of Uganda and appointed Rt. Rev. Patrick Tugume to caretake the Diocese on his behalf.
