Day 3 of #gafcon is underway in Kigali, Rwanda, under the theme, “To whom shall we go?” Church of Uganda is running a live broadcast courtesy of our esteemed Media in Mission partners, Words of Hope Ministries Uganda.

Gafcon is on a mission to proclaim Christ across the world, equipping pastors and congregations to share the love of Jesus with others.

The conference this week aims to equip Anglican Churches worldwide to better share the gospel with their families, friends and neighbours.

Richard Borgonon and Reverend Rico Tice are here to help equip people for mission by sharing with the delegates two different evangelism tools – The Word One to One and Christianity

Explored.

“What you do in [church] the outside world of today thinks is utterly weird. And worse, they now think that you are the politically unacceptable. You’re the politically incorrect,” says Richard Borgonon, Founder and co-author of The Word One to One.

“The world only sees the negative stuff, the politics, the walking away from the Bible. “[But] this conference is about the word going out,” says Richard Borgonon.

Conference delegates have heard story upon story of the gospel going out across the world, fulfilling the Great Commission to go and make disciples of all nations.

Richard says, “Christ is actively at work outside the church”. He thinks that the church’s big mistake is failing to look for where Jesus is already working in the lives of the people

around.

As people begin opening the Bible with those inside and outside the church, Richard says, “the gospel is walking out the door in a format that people can share, and they are.”

“You can let the gospel tell the gospel by opening it up and looking for who he is, why he came and what it means to follow him,” says Reverend Rico Tice, Founder of Christianity Explored Ministries
