The Diocese of Kampala (DOK) has today conducted the Training of Trainers for Women Leaders focusing on engaging in children’s ministry. The training took place at All Saints Cathedral Kampala’s Church Hall.

Mrs. Elizabeth Carolyn Kikoyo, President of Mothers Union and Christian Women Fellowship welcomed the members of the Diocesan Women Council, who were being equipped to train members of their parishes to join the children’s ministry and teach children’s church.

Rev. Canon Geoffrey Byarugaba, the Diocesan Missions Coordinator for the Diocese of Kampala, led the team through devotion under the theme: “Equipping ourselves to make our children’s ministry better”. He reminded the leaders that the first assignment Jesus gave His disciples after His resurrection was ministry to Children (John 21:15 …Feed my lamb).”

Rev. Richard Rukundo, the Provincial Coordinator Youth and Children’s Ministry of Church of Uganda, the Chief Trainer, emphasized that Christian nurturing is about Children Growing in Faith and Knowledge.
