Archbishop Kaziimba arrives in South Ruwenzori Diocese for Pastoral Visit

KASESE: The Archbishop of the Church of Uganda, The Most Rev Dr Stephen Samuel Kaziimba Mugalu has today afternoon arrived in South Ruwenzori Diocese for his three days official pastoral visit.

He was welcomed at Rwimi Bridge in Kikongo Ward, Rugendabara Town Council by the Diocesan Bishop, Rt Rev Nason Baluku, Mama Jane Baluku, Clergy and jubilant Christians.

He will be officially received in the Diocese with prayers at St. Paul’s Cathedral, Kasese.

During his visit, Archbishop Kaziimba is expected to dedicate and commission a number of projects including; a maternity building for safe motherhood atRwensande Health Center IV, St. Paul’s Vocational SS and Diocesan Business center (SRD –Trinity SACCO, Right Side shopping Centre and Pharmacy) in Kasese Municipality.

He will also dedicate a Children’s Church in Rwensande, a theatre for safe motherhood at Nyabugando Health Center and visit Kagando Rural Development Centre.

Archbishop Kaziimba who is also the Chancellor of Uganda Christian University will commission a multipurpose building for the Uganda Christian University – Kagando University College.

In line with his advocacy for self-sustainability at household and community levels, he will tour some villages in RwentuntuParish to observe strategies for food security.

The Archbishop will perform a number of other important ministerial obligations including meeting the Clergy and their spouses.
