Uganda Christian University Empowers Church Leaders in East Busoga Diocese with Leadership Retreat

In a move to strengthen the ministerial capabilities of clergy and church ministers, Uganda Christian University’s Church Relations Office has conducted a two-day retreat for church leaders within East Busoga Diocese.

The retreat which ended yesterday, centered on responsible leadership, Church finance and accountability, Faith and order.

Rev Dr. Richard Mulindwa, the University’s Church Relations Manager who was the lead facilitator, emphasized the critical importance of such training initiatives within the Church.

“Training is imperative to equip church leaders with the necessary skills and knowledge to manage their diverse responsibilities effectively, ensuring the church’s future resilience and its ability to make a meaningful impact on the community,” Dr. Mulindwa said.

He underscored the centrality of Jesus in ministry, drawing inspiration from Luke 9:10–17, which highlights the significance of compassion and service.

Rt Rev Hannington Suubi, the Bishop of East Busoga Diocese, lauded Uganda Christian University for its proactive role in championing responsible leadership and capacity building for church leaders, recognizing the profound impact such initiatives have on the broader religious community.
